SA8000 Compliance Policy

At Kıvanç Tekstil, we are committed to upholding human rights across all our operations and fully complying with the SA8000 Social Accountability Standard. In this context, we adopt the following labor practices as our fundamental principles:

 

  1. Child Labor

We strictly oppose child labor. No individual under the age of 16 or below the minimum legal working age as defined by local laws is employed. Special protections are implemented for young workers (under 18), and they are not assigned to hazardous work.

 

  1. Forced or Compulsory Labor

All forms of forced labor, bonded labor, prison labor, and involuntary work are strictly prohibited. Employees enter into contracts of their own free will and have the right to terminate them at any time.

 

  1. Health and Safety

Kıvanç Tekstil ensures a healthy and safe working environment for all employees. All legal obligations are fulfilled, regular risk assessments are conducted, emergency response plans are in place, and continuous occupational health and safety (OHS) training is provided.

 

  1. Freedom of Association and Right to Collective Bargaining

All employees have the right to freely associate and select their representatives. These rights are respected without interference or obstruction.

 

  1. Disciplinary Practices

No form of physical, psychological, verbal, or sexual harassment or coercive disciplinary action is tolerated. Disciplinary procedures are conducted fairly, transparently, and with respect for human dignity.

 

  1. Discrimination

No discrimination is permitted in recruitment, promotion, compensation, training, retirement, or termination based on race, gender, age, religion, ethnicity, disability, political opinion, marital status, or sexual orientation.

 

  1. Working Hours

Working hours comply with applicable labor laws and SA8000 requirements. The total working time, including overtime, does not exceed 60 hours per week. Overtime is voluntary and compensated at legal rates. Employees are entitled to at least one day off per week.

 

  1. Remuneration

Wages paid to employees are never below the legal minimum and are sufficient to meet basic needs. Wages and benefits are paid fully and on time, with full transparency in payroll processes.

 

  1. Management System

Our social performance is owned and overseen by top management. Internal audits, supplier evaluations, and employee grievance and suggestion mechanisms are well-structured. Ongoing compliance with SA8000 is ensured, and the necessary resources are allocated for continuous improvement.
