Gender Equality and Equal Opportunity Policy

1.Purpose
Kıvanç Tekstil considers creating a work environment that respects human rights and is equal and inclusive as an important part of its corporate responsibility. The purpose of this policy is to support gender equality, prevent discrimination, encourage the empowerment of women in business life, and ensure fair working conditions for all employees.

2.Scope
This policy covers all employees, managers, job applicants, interns, suppliers, subcontractors, and business partners. All parties involved in the company’s activities are expected to act in accordance with the principles of this policy.

3.Key Concepts

Gender Equality: Refers to equal access of women and men to rights, opportunities, and resources.

Equal Opportunity: Refers to the application of a fair approach in recruitment, compensation, training, promotion, and task distribution.

Discrimination: Refers to placing a person at a disadvantage due to reasons such as gender, pregnancy, marital status, or parenthood.

Harassment and Violence: Refers to psychological, physical, verbal, or sexual behaviors that damage a person’s dignity.

Retaliation: Refers to taking negative action against an employee who makes a complaint or report and is strictly prohibited.

4.Basis of the Policy
This policy has been prepared by taking into consideration the Constitution of the Republic of Türkiye, Labour Law No. 4857, Occupational Health and Safety Law No. 6331, the Law on the Turkish Human Rights and Equality Institution, Social Security legislation, the SA8000 Social Accountability Standard, and ILO conventions.

5.Core Principles of the Policy

Prevention of Discrimination
Gender-based discrimination is not allowed in recruitment, compensation, performance evaluation, training, task distribution, and promotion processes. Equal opportunities are provided to all employees.

Women’s Empowerment
The participation of women employees in the workforce, their access to training, and their career development are supported. Increasing the representation of women in management positions is encouraged.

Safe and Respectful Work Environment
Zero tolerance is applied against harassment, mobbing, violence, and degrading behaviors. It is ensured that all employees work in a respectful and safe environment.

Work–Life Balance
All legal rights including pregnancy, childbirth, breastfeeding, and parenthood are fully implemented. Necessary arrangements are made for the health and safety of pregnant and breastfeeding employees.

Complaint and Reporting Mechanism
Employees can report inequalities or misconduct they encounter through Human Resources, employee representatives, and other reporting channels in a secure and confidential manner. Retaliation against employees who make reports is not allowed.

6.Monitoring and Continuous Improvement
The effectiveness of the policy is monitored through indicators such as the ratio of women employees, the ratio of women managers, participation in training, and equality notifications. Improvement activities are planned according to the results obtained.
