Kıvanç Tekstil employees donated books to a village primary school and planted saplings together with the students. As part of the initiative, Kıvanç Tekstil gifted both a library and tree saplings to Kumrulu Huriye Filik Primary School in the village of Karaahmetli, aiming to contribute to children’s education and raise environmental awareness for a greener future.
The opening ceremony, held on April 23 – National Sovereignty and Children’s Day, a holiday gifted to children by Mustafa Kemal Atatürk, was attended by the company’s founder Ziya Kıvanç, the Kıvanç Tekstil Sustainability Team, and Kıvanç Tekstil Academy. The event was met with great excitement by local residents and schoolchildren.
The project, carried out to address the school’s needs and support students’ education, was brought to life with the contributions of Kıvanç Tekstil employees, who also donated books from their personal libraries. This book donation not only supports children in developing reading habits but also aims to increase their environmental awareness through the planting of tree saplings in the schoolyard.
Following the opening ceremony, Kıvanç Tekstil joined the students in planting saplings, reinforcing the company’s commitment to supporting both education and environmental consciousness.
